Making Democracy Work

Voter Education

We make voting easier through varied voter education programs.

Candidate Forums

Roseanne Chamberlain, LWVSC moderator with Assemblyman Richard Pan and Assemblyman Roger Dickinson at a Candidate Forum for Senate District 6, September 2014.

Voter Education and Pro/Con Forums

Pro/Con Forums are a major way by which the LWVSC educates the voting public on ballot measures. Trained members of the LWVSC present ballot measures to interested organizations in a non-partisan and neutral manner, explaining both sides of a ballot measure in detail. If your organization would like to host a pro/con event to educate your members on current ballot measures, please contact voterservice@lwvsacramento.org

Voter Registration

LWVSC conducts voter registration drives at various events throughout the year. For more information, contact voterservice@lwvsacramento.org

School Outreach

LWVSC's School Outreach Coordinator works to promote civic engagement for students and young adults just becoming eligible to vote. LWVSC conducts voter registration drives for high school seniors and coordinates mock elections. If you would like more information on our school outreach program, please contact hsvoters@lwvsacramento.org
