Located in the Capitol of California, LWV Sacramento is
uniquely positioned to participate in political issues at both
the local and state level. Our goal is to empower citizens
to have an active voice in our government.
The League has two separate and distinct roles: one is action
and one is education. The League of Women Voters of Sacramento
is a membership organization, conducts action. We are also
part of the League of Women Voters of California Education Fund,
which conducts our voters service and citizen education activities
and is a nonprofit educational organization. Donations to
LWV California Education Fund are tax deductible.
Members of LWVSC meet monthly throughout the county. We study
governmental issues and provide a variety of voter education services
to help voters make informed decisions at the polls.
