LWVSC will provide member training to participate in the Candidate Forum Events. This will be an in person event that will provide you the knowledge you need to help support this important activity in the upcoming election cycle. Volunteers for these events are always needed, so please consider learning about this activity and joining us on February 20th at 10am.


Interested in Becoming a LWV Candidate Forum Moderator or Timer for the Coming Primary?

General Requirements:

•. Not involved in any political campaigns or publicly supporting a candidate
• Not on the board of a political party
•. Comfortable with public speaking (moderator only)
• Good listening skills
•. Availability during the month of April 2026 and/or Sept 2026
• Most forums are evenings
• Transportation to event location

TRAINING AVAILABLE

Some candidate or issue forums need “greeters" as well.
Everyone can be a greeter!

The Goal of the Sacramento Poor Peoples Campaign for this program is to celebrate Black History Month and educate the community about the importance of “Fighting Poverty, Not The Poor.” We aim to engage, support, and provide community resources to the unhoused and to struggling community members in Sacramento. The League will be tabling and registering voters wishing to participate in government.

LWVSC call on all its members to attend and participate in our Program Planning for the upcoming year 7/26-6/27. We will review our current Projects from 25-26. This will be an in-person meeting. We encourage every new member to attend this meeting as well as our longer affiliated membership. Its a great way to meet your local League members, learn about the Sacramento League Programs, and have the ability to give input for any changes we might like to see in the upcoming year.

NCNW Sacramento Valley Section focus is on nurturing youth through education, wellness and economic opportunity. The League will be tabling at this event encouraging voter participation. We will have shifts of 2 hours each.

The event will have food, entertainment and a great opportunity to share the value of voting in the primary election in June.
